The DW Hower H3 is a mid-size frame SUV aimed at people with active lifestyles and occasional off-road driving ... It combines reliable design, reasonable cost and excellent cross-country ability ...

The car, which began mass production in the spring of 2017 at a plant in Stavropol Territory, is the well-known Great Wall Hover H3, which has changed its name due to the fact that the Hover trademark is in the hands of Irito, a Russian distributor of the Chinese brand. ...

Outside, DW Hower H3 looks attractive and very solid - the SUV does not cause unnecessary emotions, as it has already become familiar on the roads. The most remarkable thing is the car from the face - what are only the sparkling "grill" of the radiator grill, turning into a massive bumper, and large headlights of the searchlight type.

The front silhouette of the SUV attracts attention with the embossed strokes of the wheel arches and a large glass area, and its sheer stern contains vertically oriented lights, a large trunk lid and a neat bumper.

The length of the DW Hower H3 is 4650 mm, and its width and height fit into 1800 mm and 1745 mm (including roof rails - 1775 mm). Between the pairs of wheels, the car has a 2700 mm base, and its bottom is separated from the roadway by a 240 mm ground clearance. In "combat" form, the SUV weighs 1905 kg, while its gross weight is 2305 kg.

The interior of "Hover", of course, is not a "masterpiece of design", but on the whole it looks pleasant, nice and even presentable to some extent. Although the finishing materials inside the SUV are extremely budgetary - hard plastics, easily soiled lacquered inserts, decorative details "under a tree" and inexpensive leather.

The laconic center console contains a color screen of the multimedia complex and an extremely clear microclimate unit with a small monochrome display. An unpretentious "toolbox" flaunts four pointer dials and a black-and-white "window" of the on-board computer, and an unnecessarily large steering wheel with a four-spoke design carries control elements.

The DW Hower H3 has enough free space in both rows of seats, even for tall riders. At the front, the SUV has comfortable seats with "relaxed" side support and substantial adjustment intervals, while at the back there is a friendly molded sofa with a center armrest and two cup holders.

The trunk of the "Chinese" has thoughtful shapes and a decent volume - 420 liters in standard form. The second row is folded in two unequal sections (however, it does not form a flat floor), which brings the capacity to 2020 liters. The car has a full-size spare wheel suspended under the underbody.

Specifications. For DW Hower H3, a single power unit is provided - this is an inline-four Mitsubishi 4G63 with a displacement of 2.0 liters with a turbocharger, 16 valves, distributed “power” and variable valve timing, which develops 149 “stallions” at 4200 rpm and 250 N • m of torque potential at 2400-4200 rpm.

The engine is mated with a 6-speed "mechanics" and a connected all-wheel drive of the Part-time type, which has a hard-launched front axle and a "razdatka" with a reduction gear (except for the "urban version" - which is exclusively rear-wheel drive).

From a standstill to 100 km / h, the Chinese SUV accelerates after 14 seconds, and its maximum capabilities do not exceed 160 km / h.

The entry and exit angles at the five-door are 29 and 27.5 degrees, respectively, and the ford depth reaches 600 mm.

In the combined driving mode, he "drinks" about 8.7 liters of gasoline for every "hundred" of the run.

At the heart of the DW Hower H3 is a spar frame, on which the body and power unit are based in the longitudinal direction. The front axle of the SUV is equipped with an independent torsion bar "double wishbone" with hydraulic shock absorbers, and the rear suspension is represented by a continuous axle suspended by means of a spring structure.

The car uses a rack-and-pinion steering complex equipped with a hydraulic control amplifier. On the wheels in front of the five-door, ventilated disc brakes are used, and at the rear - the usual "pancakes" (regardless of the configuration - with ABS).

Options and prices. In the Russian market, DW Hower H3 2017 is sold in three versions - "City", "Comfort" and "Luxury".

  • The execution of "City" was introduced a little later than the others and is in fact "cut down" for the sake of a minimum price tag of 990,000 rubles (but here No: four-wheel drive, alloy wheels, multifunction steering wheel, parking sensors and a rear-view camera, and instead of multimedia - a simple audio system).
