The premium brand Lexus in January 2016 at the International North American Auto Show showed the world its new sports car called the LC 500, which became the commercial embodiment of the experimental LF-LC model, presented back in 2012, in the same place, in Detroit. Externally, the show car reached the series almost unchanged, having received a luxurious four-seater saloon and powerful technical stuffing. This car entered the main markets (including the Russian one) at the beginning of 2017.

Undoubtedly, Lexus LC 500 strikes attention with its external provocation, expressiveness and incredible courage of style - the car is beautiful and truly slender, and its appearance evokes continuous emotions. From any angle, the sports car looks powerful, fast and futuristic - boldly designed optics with full LED "stuffing", a huge "spindle" of the radiator grill, sculpted bumpers, "floating" rear pillars and a pair of huge exhaust pipes.

The overall length of the Japanese premium coupe is 4670 mm, its width fits into 1920 mm, and its height does not exceed 1345 mm. The gap between the front and rear pairs of wheels is 2870 mm. The two-door rests on the roadway with 21-inch "rollers", dressed in tires of standard size 245/40 R21 at the front and 275/35 / R21 at the rear.

The interior of the Lexus LC 500 meets an atmosphere of luxury and comfort, chic design and high-class performance. Behind the beautiful multifunctional steering wheel with embossed shapes, there is a modern digital instrument cluster, harmoniously combined with the sensual stylistics of the inner world. The front panel with a negative slope demonstrates an elegant and modern design, especially in the central part - a 12.3-inch screen of the multimedia complex, a "family" analog clock and an original dual-zone "climate" unit. Finishing materials fully correspond to the premium status of a two-door - expensive leather, Alcantara, natural wood and aluminum.

Front riders in the LC 500 find themselves in the arms of magnificent seats with integrated head restraints, pronounced side support and a huge number of all kinds of adjustments. But the rear seats are purely formal - it is almost impossible for adult passengers to accommodate them (this is evidenced by the “2 + 2” landing formula).

Specifications. The Lexus LC 500 is equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 engine with a displacement of 5.0 liters (4969 cubic centimeters), equipped with combined fuel injection and a 32-valve timing, the output of which has 467 horsepower at 7100 rpm and 529 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm / minute.

The reserve of traction in full is transferred to the wheels of the rear axle through the uncontested 10-speed automatic transmission Aisin with paddle shifters for changing gears. The starting acceleration from zero to the first "hundred" in a two-door coupe from the Land of the Rising Sun takes only 4.5 seconds, and its maximum capabilities are limited at 275 km / h.

The sports car is based on the GA-L rear-wheel drive "bogie" with a classic layout - a power unit located longitudinally in the front part, shifted into the depth of the wheelbase, and the driving wheels of the rear axle.

The car has a steel body, in which high-strength alloys are widely used, with a composite floor and doors with aluminum outer panels and a carbon-fiber frame (the mass is distributed along the axes in a ratio of 52:48). At the front, the LC 500 has an independent double wishbone architecture with separate levers and multiple hinges below and above, and at the rear is a multi-link architecture (it has a conventional spring suspension, but with adaptive dampers).

As standard, the coupe is equipped with an electric power steering rack and pinion, and all its wheels accommodate ventilated brake discs with six-piston calipers on the front and four-piston on the rear axle.

Options and prices. Lexus LC 500 is imported to Russia exclusively in the "top" configuration "Sport +", for which you will have to "fork out" at least 7,886,000 rubles.
Already in the "state" the Japanese coupe has: eight airbags, the ERA-GLONASS system, premium "music" Mark Levinson with thirteen speakers, a multimedia complex with navigation in Russian, heating of the steering wheel and the zone of rest of the wipers, two-zone "climate", 20- inch alloy wheel and sports seats with ventilation, heating and electric settings.
In addition, the standard car boasts: LED optics, parking sensors, adaptive cruise, rear view camera, adaptive suspension, light and rain sensors and other modern options.
