Dacia Dokker Stepway is an "all-terrain" modification of a front-wheel drive compact van, which is aimed at people who need a "practical multi-purpose vehicle", but at the same time prefer an "active lifestyle" ...

The official debut of the "all-terrain" modification of the car (made according to the "traditional recipe", which was involved in the creation of the "Sandero Stepway") took place in the fall of 2014 at the Paris Motor Show, and already in January 2017, along with the basic "brother", it underwent an update , having received a revised exterior and interior design and new equipment.

Outwardly recognizing the Dacia Dokker Stepway is not difficult: its distinctive features are a scratch-resistant plastic body kit around the body, widened wheel arches, protective covers on the mirrors, "aluminum" roof rails, unique design rims and increased ground clearance.

The length of the "all-terrain" version of the "Docker" is 4363 mm, and the width and height reaches 1751 mm and 1814 mm, respectively. The wheelbase of the compact van is 2810 mm, and its ground clearance does not exceed 191 mm.

Inside, the Dacia Dokker Stepway is identified by the bluish edging of the center console, ventilation devices and vents and the original seat upholstery, but in general it repeats the standard model - a nice design, good ergonomics and a solid level of workmanship.

Full parity with the "all-road" and basic modification in terms of cargo-passenger capabilities is a five-seater cabin layout and a huge trunk with a volume of 800 to 3000 liters.

Specifications. For Dacia Dokker Stepway, only two power units have been prepared:

  • The petrol engine is a 1.2-liter "four" TCe with direct injection, turbocharging and 16 valves, developing 115 "horses" at 4500 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm.
  • The diesel version is a four-cylinder 1.5-liter dCi engine with a turbocharger, a Common Rail system and an 8-valve layout, which generates 90 "horses" at 3750 rpm and 200 Nm at 1750 rpm.

For the compact van, only a 5-speed "mechanics" and a front-wheel drive transmission are available.

The maximum car gains 162-179 km / h, and spends 10.7-13.9 seconds to accelerate to the first "hundred".

Gasoline modifications are enough for 6.2 liters of fuel in the combined cycle, diesel - 4.5 liters.

From a constructive point of view, the Dacia Dokker Stepway does not differ from its usual "brother": the front-wheel drive architecture "B0" with MacPherson struts in front and a resilient cross member at the rear, hydraulic power steering and braking system with ventilated front discs and simple rear "drums".

Options and prices. In Germany, the "all-terrain" version of "Docker" is offered at a price of 13,600 euros (~ 813 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate).
In the "base" the car is equipped with: two airbags, ABS with EBD, an audio system with four speakers, "cruise", power steering, air conditioning, front power windows, heated front seats and other options.
